This trip involves two gardens. Snares Hill Cottage is 1.5 acres and has been described as a 'quintessential English garden' with surprises around every corner and many interesting sculptures. There is a natural swimming pool which is bordered by romantic flower beds, herb garden and Victorian folly.
The second garden is the Gardens of Easton Lodge which has extensive history which you will hear about from our guide. Harold Peto redesigned the gardens in 1902 and the team of dedicated volunteers have been restoring the stunning Italian garden and Walled Kitchen Garden. The estate extends beyond this to The Glade and Stirling Memorial Walk.
Tea/coffee & cake are included in the price for both gardens, we recommend you bring a picnic lunch with you.
The cost of this trip is £44.50 for members (and £47.50 for non members). This includes transport from Grundisburgh, entry to both gardens, tea/coffee & cake in both gardens plus a guided tour at Easton Lodge.
East Ruston Old Vicarage 8th October 2025

This is a return visit by popular request! If you haven't previously visited, it covers 32 acres with many garden rooms so you can walk as far as you like or just explore the gardens closer to the house. The gardens benefit from a unique micro climate which enables them to grow some more exotic species and in October the dahlias will be at their best.
Light refreshments are available in the tea room.
The cost of this trip is £36 for members (£39 for non members) including transport from Grundisburgh and garden entry
